The short version: CleanZip collects nothing. It has no network access, sends no data anywhere, and processes your files entirely on your Mac. The App Store privacy label for CleanZip is Data Not Collected.

What we collect

Nothing. CleanZip does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, usage data, file contents, or file names. There is no account, no sign-in, and no tracking.

How your files are handled

CleanZip reads the folders and zip archives you choose, removes hidden system files, and writes a clean archive — all locally on your Mac. Your files never leave your device. CleanZip is sandboxed by macOS and only accesses the specific files and folders you hand to it.

Network access

CleanZip has no network access. It works entirely offline. It does not contact any server, does not use analytics or crash-reporting services, and includes no advertising or third-party SDKs.

Third parties

CleanZip is distributed through the Mac App Store. Any data related to your purchase (for example, billing) is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. We never receive your payment details.

Children

CleanZip is a general-purpose utility and is rated 4+. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. CleanZip's "no data collected" posture is a core design choice, so material changes are unlikely.
